C’est avec profonde nostalgie pour cette terre lointaine, la Russie, qu’Alejandra nous offre 2 œuvres magistrales du répertoire russe: Les Saisons de Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovsky et Tableaux d'une Exposition de Modeste Moussorgsky; deux compositeurs classiques qui partagèrent une même époque, une même origine, mais qui furent tout à fait antagoniques dans leur language musical.

Who is ALEJANDRA CIFUENTES?

Alejandra studied with renown pianist Dang Thai Son and obtained her Master’s degree from University of Montreal in 2005. During the 2006-2007 season, Alejandra played in over 20 concerts in Canada. At the end of the 2008 school year, Alejandra successfully finished her post-graduate certificat of Professional Training Program at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in Russia. In Moscow, Alejandra gave several solo concerts and also with violinist Sergei Chesnokov including at the Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
